This weekend lots of the usual faces were missing from their respective 'home' parkruns due to the club mass exodus to Berlin for the weekend. In spite of this, PWR still managed a pretty good showing of members in the results with Wendy Tung, Dan Budgen and Andrew Breese all getting new PBs. Andrew managed a PB at Bromley a fortnight ago and this weekend dipped under 21 minutes for the first time at Orpington- great parkrunning, Andrew!

Lots of PBs to be had and a couple of club records broken I think... It was a real shame to hear that Laura Stables was poorly and didn't manage to finish. Luckily she had Karen Barritt to look after her en route. Next time Laura! Berlin Marathon » O'Connor, Brian 02:47:13 PB » Gurney, John 03:14:49 » Robson, Stephen 03:14:51 » Niblock, Alan 03:18:18 » Vaughan, Gary 03:18:47 PB » Roberts, Hannah 03:30:35 » Robson, Sigrid 03:49:29 » Barritt, Christopher 03:54:42 » Vaughan, Sian 04:01:12 PB » Esterhuyse, Karien 04:03:50 » Graham, Emma 04:54:48 Dan Palmer took a trip in a different direction and went all the way to Bonnie Scotland for the Loch Ness Marathon. Despite a recent injury he still managed a very respectable marathon time. Hope that knee is ok Dan! Did you see Nessie? Loch Ness Marathon 2144 Daniel Palmer 04:50:32 Geraldine Schaer and Pete Eves decided to take on the Ealing half marathon on its second year running. This race has pretty good reviews and might be one to consider for the future. Geraldine loved it so much she got herself a shiny new PB! Ealing Half Marathon 287 Geraldine Schaer 01:32:37 PB 1693 Peter Eves 01:54:49 Three PWRs decided to take on the Dartford Bridge 10k, a fast and flat 2 lap course on the outskirts of Dartford. Although this race doesn't have the best sounding scenery, reviews are actually pretty good especially if you are after a new 10k PB Dartford Bridge 10k 35 Sam Perry 146 00:43:11 55 Stephen Faulkner 0:45:07 118 Richard Dunstan 00:52:33 And to end this weeks report on a slightly different result, Michael Maxted took on the Cancer Research UK SHINE walking marathon where he finished in an incredible 15th place (out of 16,000 people) in a brilliant time of 6 hours 13 minutes. That is some FAST walking! Until next week.....happy running everyone.
