Autumn is definitely now here, and this marks the end of a summer of long distance racing for many of our club members. I think it is brilliant to look back and see all that we have achieved over the last few months, with many members breaking club records, getting new PB's and of course completing new distances for the first time. Well done everyone, you should be very proud of yourselves. Now with Autumn upon us, cross country season starts with the Kent Fitness League this weekend. And I'm sure Bromley parkrun will turn into a mudbath before long, perhaps making it necessary to return to the 'widdershins' winter route!

Talking of parkruns, we still had a fair few members turn up to get their 9am running fix. Clearly, the rest of us need to get hold of whatever Andrew Breese is eating for breakfast- he has set 6 new PB's over his last 7 parkruns and is almost sub 20 mins. Well done Andrew. There were also PB's for James Macdonald, Debbie MacKenzie and Paula Dimond. Paula is up to 25 parkruns- starting out at a time of 30 minutes and she is now on her way to sub 22. There's hope for the rest of us then! Johnny Gill took a trip to Dulwich for the first time and the Laing family returned to Shorne Woods to try out the run there for a second time.

Bromley parkrun
4 Grant FRIPP 00:19:10
5 Stuart J SCOTT 00:19:12
10 Alan NIBLOCK 00:19:31
13 Gary VAUGHAN 00:19:42
23 Andrew BREESE 00:20:13 PB
36 Matt JONES 00:21:02
37 Martin Andrew CUNNINGHAM 00:21:02
39 Rebecca CAWLEY 00:21:14
46 Mark BURGESS 00:21:36
51 Kathryn Louise SUCKLING 00:21:44
64 James MACDONALD 00:22:17 PB
66 Paula DIMOND 00:22:26 PB
71 Jenny LENG 00:22:31
137 Ray SIEVEY 00:24:41
155 Natalie COMPTON 00:25:30
160 Fiona ABIOLA-MUSA 00:25:39
184 Emily BARBER 00:26:29
193 David SIMPSON 00:26:43
194 Mark DOYLE 00:26:44
195 Della HARRIS 00:26:44
196 David ALLISON 00:26:45
199 Kenny SHARP 00:26:50
230 Helen HART 00:28:42
241 Susan Louise HANNEY 00:29:00
246 Robyn STUBBS 00:29:15
267 Debbie MCKENZIE 00:30:55 PB
303 Helen NEOCLEOUS 00:35:51

Dulwich parkrun
13 Johnny GILL 00:19:04
37 Stephen FAULKNER 00:21:00 PB

Hilly Fields parkrun
33 Sigrid ROBSON 00:24:08

Orpington parkrun
23 Ka Sing TUNG 00:25:57
39 Janet LITTLEJOHN 00:29:15

Shorne Woods parkrun
4 Rob LAING 00:21:28
20 Sonja LAING 00:24:42
48 Richard LAING 00:35:38

Sunday's racing was very quiet. Most probably because almost all of us were having a great time standing in the torrential rain in and around Petts Wood for our 10k. It certainly showed the true sprit of our club and I'm looking forward to next year already.

Just one lone racer to report- Emma Hay took on the half marathon distance for the first time at the Maidstone Half marathon. PWRs picked between the Chislehurst Chase 10k, the Tonbridge Half Marathon with many PWR's turning up at WIllet Rec to run the PWR 10k route. Well done to the Group 1 ladies who completed their furthest run(s) so far- good work!

Chislehurst Chase 10k
Results are only published for the top 50 finishers; of which PWR managed 3 places:

27 John Perkins 44:33
34 Toby Walsh 45:07
45 Sam Perry 46:39

Mark Burgess, Janet Littlejohn and Moy McGowan all took part but no published times available.

Tonbridge Half Marathon
5 members chose to take part in the Tonbridge Half Marathon. Jo Robinson completed her first half despite a funny moment at 10.5 miles, leading her to forage in the bushes for sugar in the form of blackberries, and Simon Dahdi finished his first half in a brilliant time especially considering he only decided to take the place offered up by Steve J Sam the night before!

63 SImon Dahdi 1:32:20
173 Andrew Breese 1:39:05
265 Grant Fripp 1:45:38
486 Peter Eves 1:55:28
872 Jo Robinson 2:22:43

New Forest Half Marathon
Phil Morley ventured into the New Forest to complete the half marathon distance.

581 Phil Morley 1:59:50
