The Club captains have today announced the "toughies" in the race calendar for race #3 and #4
The firm favourite Canterbury 10 mile on Sunday 21st January returns as the 3rd GP event. This is a popular event which in recent years has involved a coach trip and pub Sunday roast after a lovely 10 mile run across the beautiful Kent Countryside. There is a promise of another coach. Hopefully we will be going back for Sunday roast too The 4th GP event is the Tunbridge Wells 1/2 Marathon on Sunday February 18th is the longest distance of the calendar. Its a local race but the lovely club that we are we're also putting another coach on. Register for both events as soon as you can as they are also Kent Grand Prix races and are bound to be popular. Look out on the club FB page or club emails for further information about the coach travel and post run celebrations. The Grand Prix groups for 2017/2018 have been publicised
There are 156 runners in the Grand Prix this year. The team have split the runners into 9 groups to compete against each other in the monthly events which will be published. So far we have Brighton 10k 19/11/2017 and Bexley parkrun 16/12/2017 and more events to follow in 2018 Please note that there will be a scoring system for group 1 reflecting age and gender, as set out in the 2017-18 PWR GP rules (also on the PWR website). The scoring system will not be used for the other groups, as those groups are more evenly matched in times. Please direct any queries to [email protected]. |
