Saturday's weather turned out to be sunny and warm for the PWR 2013 "Kids Olympics" morning in Willett Rec.
Around 70 children between 4 and 11 with as many again of their Mums and Dads came along to join in the fun as the staff of the Bees Academy took them through a number of jumping, throwing, hopping and running games designed to improve their athletic ability and have fun in doing so.
This was followed by presentation of certificates and chocolate medals to all the children who took part, before a keenly contested Mums' and Dads' egg & spoon race in front of their cheering sons and daughters brought matters to a climax.
Thanks to all the PWR helpers on the day as well as the Bees Academy for making this second annual Kidz Olympics a success and we look forward to repeating it again next year.
This coming Saturday, Petts Wood Runners and the Bees Academy will be hosting the Kidz Olympics at Willet Recreation Ground.
This event was a great success last year, so we are delighted to be able to hold it again this year. See the poster below for more information. Any questions please contact Richard Dunstan firstname.lastname@example.org
